Hello,
So I was changing things around upstairs last week and well you know how it goes one thing leads to another. I got an idea(rare)and thought oh this won't take too long lol, well it took about a week to get it all done. But I love the results so it was well worth it.
Basically my craft room was at the other end of the house so I was getting lonely there at night doing my crafty stuff. We have this pretty big loft area just right outside my old craft room so I got the idea to downsize and move all my stuff out in the loft. My daughter's toys were mostly in the loft so I have moved all her stuff in my old craft room and made her a playroom and art room. Whew! She loves it and I can just shut the door when its a mess and bingo its out of sight.
I had fun getting rid of stuff that I don't need and making my craft area even more organized-yeah OCD. My daughter's school is going to take all my old art supplies so they will be put to good use!
I think not only will I enjoy being out here but I think I am going to use my stuff even more with having less stuff and knowing where everything is. But don't get me wrong I am already planning on more stuff to order, yep same old me talking !
Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy!
Holly
P.S. Don't mind the ugly ol' Costco fold out chairs, hopefully they will be replaced soon by something a little more fun! And I think this area needs a rug too. Hope to make some more fun changes soon. Thanks for looking!

The Paper Shelter Design Team
Hello and good evening,
I am very excited, giddy actually, to be posting tonight. I am entering the Paper Shelter DT call, yeah!! Fun stuff. I am so glad that I have come across this wonderful site and the digi's are just beyond cute. There are so many I want and I can't choose. Seriously I have to stop finding new digis sites because I just spend all my money lol I blame Alyce Keegan at Kit and Clowder and everyone on that FB site because they are all enablers lol ok I will take a little of the blame he he.
Ok so here is the card I am entering because I think it's a good representation of my current coloring skills :) I posted this originally in late July. Thank you Paper Shelter for letting me enter, you have a new fan here :) Have a great evening and a great rest of the weekend. Now I'm off to my money tree to buy more digis hehe

Crayola Crayon Challenge
Hi,
I gave the Crayola Crayon Challenge a go, hard stuff! Who knew coloring with crayons could be so hard. We had to try using them like Copic markers, I missed my Copics during this whole process. What did we ever do without our Copics?
It was still fun to try and see what happened. And I got to color alongside my sweet little girl and sip yummy Starbucks tea during the process. She was so cute, she told me the reason I am probably not good at doing crayons is because I am so used to Copics and she always uses crayons so it makes her a bit better at it lol the honesty of kids just cracks me up :)
Here is my mermaid using crayons, please don't laugh. Ok you can laugh, i did!
Have a great Labor Day! Oh and check out the challenge on the kit and clowder website, fun stuff happening everyday on there :)

Under the Sea
Aloha!
Ok no I am not in Hawaii, wishful thinking :) But couldn't you just see this sweet mermaid hanging out in the hawaiian oceans ;) Actually she reminds me more of the mermaid that used to be in the submarine ride at Disneyland, those were the days!
Anyways this is my first attempt at doing two tone hair. It was so much fun! I have seen Alyce over at Kit and Clowder color up two tone hair many times so I knew I had to try it one of these days. I thought a mermaid was just the right image for trying out this technique!
Alyce is having a challenge over at the Kit and Clowder website with two tone and fun hair colors for the month of August. I decide to enter this little mermaid card into this challenge and this weeks Mojo Monday challenge as well. So hope you will join me :) Have a great evening and enjoy the last couple weeks of summer! Mahalo!

Small Joann's Haul
Hi,
I decided to do a quick haul today, haven't really done one on here yet so why not? Sounded fun!
My sweet daughter went to work with my hubby today for a kids day. So i decided to take a quick trip to Joann's on the way back home from dropping her off at my husbands work. How convenient that it's on the way home lol I just had to pull in, I mean it would be a waste not too right? I was good though I only bought a few things and they were all on sale. Honestly I don't go there that much. I usually buy all my stuff online or go to this cute little stamping store here in town. The smaller shops always have more that I want and get all the latest and greatest stuff.
Here are a few pics of my little haul. I saw the flag punch on Pinterest this morning so I had to track it down and it just happen to be at Joann's, it was kind of my prime motivation for going there this morning. Sorry if I am behind the times but where has this punch been? i love it and I have never seen it before. I am anxious to use it, hopefully it will be making an appearance on an upcoming card. The other items are just some sentiment stamps that I grabbed. I realized the other day that I don't buy sentiments very often and I probably should incorporate them more in my cards. Adds a little pizazz! I guess I just always go for the fun images first and skip out on the wordy stuff.
The other stamp set is a banner set I liked since I was on a banner kick today, thought I would just throw that in the mix, why not? It's a banner kind of day!
The last thing I got was my stamping storage clam shells that I love. I buy them when Joanns has them on sale. I think they turn out to be around 3 dollars a piece or close to it. They are awesome for storing all your clear and cling mount stamps. I have a youtube video that I did a few months back where i show how I use them. I need to post some pics soon since my video is a little dorky lol Anyways I put all the clam shells in a big binder and put them on the shelf. So handy! And it looks cute too, very important ;)
Hope you are enjoying your day. My hubby's birthday was yesterday so tonight he is having a guy's board game night at our house, so you see why my Joann's haul is justified lol Have a great rest of the day :)

Tiddly Inks Design Team
Hi All,
Hope you are still enjoying summer! My family and I are trying to savor summer as much as possible before our daughter heads back to school in a few weeks. We are starting to get emails with dates of back to school stuff and I am really not ready. The summer really does fly by!
Anyways I am very excited to be posting today! Tiddly Inks is choosing some new design team members so I have decided to give it a go. Wow there are a lot of great entries so it's going to be a tough choice for them, but it's so much fun to see everyone's creations.
I had a lot of fun coloring this sweet little Wryn. I really wanted to do something in purple so I had a good time choosing the colors. I might be on a purple kick!
Hope you will join me in entering a card at the TiddlyInks blog. A thank you to the team for letting me enter. Have a good rest of the day! http://tiddlyinks.blogspot.com
Hugs,
Holly

Metal die-cut storage
Hello,
So I wanted to share my die cut storage system that has seemed to work pretty well for me. For quite awhile I was using one of those canvas CD storage boxes. While it worked pretty well for storage, I couldn't see any of the dies i had without pulling out each CD sleeve. I then came upon this great video, which I will post below, that gave me a great starting point for changing my system around. You will see in her video she used magnetic sheets and got them at the dollar store. I actually couldn't find any at the dollar store to save my life and they were quite expensive at the craft store. So I decided on magnetic strips instead and I think they work quite well. I believe they are bit stronger as well.
Another thing that has been so nice about this system is that I can compare circles or squares or whatever shape I might be working on so easily. I can just flip through and pull them out or just see what I have and what I need-need not want lol Oh and they fit so nicely in binders and sleeves, it's an OCD girl's dream ;) And I can't forget they are all organized in categories!
Hope I have helped someone out there :) Let me know if you have any questions.
Supplies:
mini better binders in teal- Staples
mini better binder sleeves- Staples
chip board-some kind of heavy card stock would work too
magnetic tape with adhesive back- I used the 1 inch wide tape from Michaels
Label maker-white tape
